Through Dari – the digital real estate ecosystem – you can cancel a tenancy contract easily by following a few steps. As a leaser, to cancel a lease contract, you can follow the below steps:
- Login to Dari
- Click on Services from the home page
- Select Lease from the Services list
- Select Cancel Tenancy contract from the submenu
- Select the contract you want to cancel
- Then click on Cancel Tenancy Contract
- The tenant will receive a notification with the contract cancelation.
Once the leaser has submitted the Cancel tenancy contract on Dari, the tenant will receive a notification with the cancelation. To review it and respond, as a tenant, you may follow the below steps:
- Login to Dari
- Click on Applications from the home page
- Select In Progress from the tabs
- Select Lease cancelation
After reviewing the tenancy contract update, you will then have two choices as a tenant:
- Accept: If you accept the contract cancelation, click on Accept. A notification will be sent to the leaser letting them know that the tenancy contract has been canceled.
Or
- Reject: If you reject the lease cancelation, click on Reject. You will have to state your reason(s) of rejection and click on Reject cancelation. A notification will be sent to the leaser letting them know that the tenancy contract cancelation has been rejected.
After receiving the tenant’s response to the cancelation, as a leaser, you will then have two choices:
- Resubmit cancelation: If the tenant rejected the cancelation, you can click on Resubmit application to resubmit the cancelation or you can click on Cancel by court order.
Or
- Accept: If the tenant accepted the tenancy contract cancelation, click on Submit cancellation. A notification will be sent to the tenant that the contract has been canceled by the leaser.
